Let’s be gentle with ourselves during this time.
Let’s be real-we’re exhausted, we’re all experiencing Zoom fatigue, some form of anxiety, and more. It’s incredibly important that we take the time to take care of ourselves. Self-care is no longer a passing thought, it’s more crucial than ever.
We often make excuses to not practice self-care saying “I don’t have time” or even feel guilty when we take a bit of time ourselves. However, it’s when we’re feeling stressed and overwhelmed that we would benefit the most from slowing down to think big, innovate and solve the problems stressing us out.
The benefits of self-care are widely known- it yields better moods, higher energy levels, increased focus, and higher productivity. Self-care looks different for every person. While you may not be a spa person, a hike in the woods may reenergize you. Make the time for yourself every day, even if it’s just 5 minutes.
Self-care equips you to become a better, happier, healthier version of yourself. Investing in your own we-being is worth making the time for.
