Join us for DAYS OF CARING!
Partnering with local agencies, United Way offers employees the opportunity to make an even greater difference in our community. Days of Caring matches volunteer groups with projects at many of our agencies. Projects are widely varied to accommodate many skills and interests. Choices include the type of project, location, degree of labor and time commitment. Volunteers will receive a commemorative Days of Caring t-shirt. We hope you will join us in wearing that shirt during your volunteer time.
In addition to helping local agencies, volunteering with Days of Caring provides valuable benefits to your organization as well. Showcase your volunteer spirit…Improve employee morale and enthusiasm with an energizing new project…Strengthen team building among your employees…Feel more connected to your community and coworkers while working to help those in need. What better way to spend a day!
This year’s Days of Caring will be held September 14th, 15th and 16th. The event will wrap up at the Non-Profit Resource Fair on Saturday, September 17th from 9am to 2pm at Governor’s Square Mall.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER AND RECEIVE YOUR FREE T-SHIRT IS AUGUST 26TH!
We hope you and your organization will be able to spend a day with United Way! If you can’t spare volunteers, there are still many ways to help. We also welcome donations of building materials, equipment, or other supplies for Day of Caring projects. Sponsorship opportunities or monetary donations help defray a variety of Day of Caring expenses as well. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
