United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region hosted its annual Campaign Kick-Off on Tuesday, September 15th at the Riverview Inn. Reflecting the Mission Possible theme, supporters from local businesses and organizations accepted special assignments to advance the common good.
Members of United Way’s Board of Directors, geared in special agent attire, each opened briefcases to reveal this year’s campaign goal of $1,100,000. This total represents a 10% increase over the last year’s goal $1,000,000 goal, which was achieved in April 2015
Following the mission briefing, agents used their investigative skills to complete a Community Quest through downtown Clarksville and ending at F&M Bank. The scavenger hunt challenged workplace teams to decipher clues leading to partner agency stations along the way. At each station along the one and a half mile route, special agents participated in agency related activities to collect evidence and intelligence of United Way community impact.
