Calling all current and potential new workplace partners – YOU’RE INVITED!
People often feel as though the only way to make a difference through monetary donations is by occasionally giving large sums of money to a nonprofit, believing that just one dollar cannot possibly make a big impact. But here’s the good news – there IS a way to give that will make an impact without exhausting your checkbook!
At United Way GCR, we fight for the health, education, and financial stability of Montgomery, Houston and Stewart counties. There are several ways we accomplish our mission and one of them is through Workplace Campaigns. Each year, 30+ local businesses – from small to large – partner with us by offering staff and employees the ability to contribute through payroll deductions or one-time donations. By doing so, they can give smaller amounts over the year that add up to changing lives – and that’s HUGE! Additionally, they can opt to designate funds directly to one of our nonprofit partners of their choosing or to the greater good to support all 23 local nonprofit partners and 30+ programs. Furthermore, a Workplace Campaign gives our workplace partners the ability to give back to the community as well and show their stakeholders they care about making an impact.
If this sounds like something you and your business would like to be a part of, we want to invite you to our annual United Way Campaign Kickoff event for the 2022-23 campaign year! It will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the William O. Beach Civic Hall located at 350 Pageant Lane, Suite 201 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and hear directly from the local nonprofit partner agencies that we support. Agencies will share how their programs have been able to serve the most critical needs of our community with the generous support of donors like you!
United Way staff will also share tips on how to conduct an easy and successful workplace campaign, plus you will have the opportunity to connect with other workplace partners and learn how they have achieved fruitful and fun campaigns! If you are already a workplace partner, you also will not want to miss this as we will be setting up the event in a cool new way with more opportunities to connect with the agencies and other workplaces like never before!
To join us, please RSVP to our Marketing Coordinator, Brandi Ficklin, at bficklin@uwgcr.org no later than August 24, 2022. We look forward to seeing all our current workplace partners (and some new faces!) for an evening of food, fellowship and learning how your business can make a substantial impact on the greater Clarksville region!
