United Way Exceeds $1.5M Campaign Goal

With over 260 local supporters in attendance, United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region hosted its Annual Membership Meeting and Campaign Celebration at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.  The event culminated a year that has been focused on aiding the recovery of families and individuals impacted by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and United Way’s desire to inspire the community and provide hope for a brighter future.

Through Workplace Campaigns, grant funding from the City of Clarksville, and other grant/funding sources, United Way was able to exceed its original Campaign Goal for the 2021-22 year set at $1.5M. Funds raised will impact the community through United Way’s local nonprofit partner agencies and potential United Way programs currently in development. 

Additionally, United Way presented campaign awards during the event to recognize the outstanding achievements of the following local contributors, volunteers, and partners:

Above & Beyond Award: Lisa McClain of Montgomery County Government 

Ben C. Parks Award: Legends Bank

Robert R. Welch Founders Award: Don Jenkins of Jenkins & Wynne & Jack Turner of Jack B. Turner & Associates

Highest Giving Campaign: Publix

Inspire Award: Erinne Hester, Montgomery County Assessor of Property

Way to Grow: Clarksville Academy 

Ambassador’s Award: City of Clarksville Mayor Joe Pitts

Volunteer Leadership Award: Jeff Harris, Montgomery County Government

Outstanding Board Members of the Year: Brandi King of Legends Bank & O’Neal Wiggins of Wiggins Medical Transit

Director’s Award: Pamela Holz of American Red Cross

Numerous other volunteers were recognized for their service, and incoming members of the Board of Directors were installed for a term of three years. Newly elected Executive Directors and those re-elected include: Jeff Harris – Montgomery County Government, President; O’Neal Wiggins – Wiggins Medical Transit, Vice President; Janet Wilson – CMC Industrial Development Board, Campaign Chair; Brandi King – Legends Bank, Secretary; Sam Jones – Legends Bank, Treasurer; Michelle Newell – Montgomery County Government; Ashley Mynatt – VIP Clarksville Magazine; Patrick Wilkerson – Planters Bank; and Kelly Replogle – Buffalo Wild Wings.

United Way GCR would like to thank the many donors and supporters in the community for making this possible, as well as the sponsors who helped make the event successful.
