March 31, 2015
United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region invites the community to its 2015 Annual Membership Meeting and Campaign Celebration on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Riverview Inn. Held each year to recognize campaign achievements and honor volunteer leadership, the evening’s festivities will also include dinner and election of local officers and board members for 2015-2016.
Concluding this year’s campaign theme, the “Superhero Celebration” will recognize United Way’s local force of volunteers, contributors and workplace partners who have worked wonders in the lives of those in need. Presentation of campaign awards is a highlight of the event, including the legendary Ben C. Parks Award. Established in 1990 to honor the memory of Mr. Parks, a dedicated United Way supporter, this award recognizes a company or business that has conducted the best overall workplace campaign. The recipient is selected by volunteers serving on the campaign cabinet and is based on a wide variety of criteria. Considerations for the award include percentage of employee giving potential achieved, an increase in giving over the last year and the number of leadership donors within the organization. Legends Bank received the award in 2014 for its outstanding support of United Way. Numerous other campaign achievement awards will also be presented throughout the evening.
The Annual Meeting and Campaign Celebration is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend. The event begins at 11:30am and will include lunch. To make a reservation, please contact United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region at (931) 647-4291 by May 8, 2015. Cost for the event is $25 per person or $225 to sponsor a table. Table sponsorships include reserved seating for eight guests, publicity promotion and recognition at the event. To RSVP, please print and send the form below to:
