people-1495855_1280Local veteran, Anthony, came to Operation Stand Down of TN for help and entered the Transitional Housing Program, homeless and struggling. During the first 30 days of the program, Anthony followed his plan and completed the Return to Life program. He had such a positive attitude and strong leadership skills that he became the resident manager of his house managing nine male veterans. After just a couple of months, Anthony worked with an OSDTN Employment Counselor and was hired full-time as a cook at a local restaurant. Because of his excellent communication skills and strong work ethic, he received numerous bonuses and was even featured in a television commercial promoting the restaurant. Anthony continued to work hard and saved his money. Upon completion of the program, Anthony secured a full-time maintenance technician position for an apartment complex. With great success, he paid all his own deposits and moved into his new home.
