September 14, 2011
During September 14-16, more than 135 volunteers from local businesses will be joining hands, opening their hearts and lending muscles to assist United Way agencies in the community. Volunteers are accomplishing numerous projects such as painting, landscaping, food pantry assistance, senior activities and meal delivery.
Businesses participating this year include Bridgestone Metalpha, CEMC, Cumberland Bank and Trust, Economic Development Council, F&M Bank, Fort Campbell Federal Credit Union, Green Bank, Hemlock Semiconductor, Heritage Bank, Legal Aid Society, Legends Bank, Planters Bank, Stone, Rudolph & Henry and US Bank.
The event will wrap up at a Non-Profit Resource Fair on Saturday, September 17th from 10am to 3pm at Governor’s Square Mall. Agencies will be represented at booths throughout the mall, providing information about their services and offering fun activities for children.
