This month, United Way of the Greater Clarksville Region would like to bring some much deserved attention to one of our most generous workplace partners, Hendrickson Trailer Suspension. This long-standing partner of United Way has been helping to create real, positive change in our local community for decades through their giving campaign and their commitment to local volunteer work.
Recently, Hendrickson Trailer completed their 2015-16 United Way campaign with some really outstanding results. Not only did they increase their giving campaign this year by 715 percent (that’s right, 715%), but they also finished with their highest giving total to date for a grand total of over $20,000! This includes nine new Leadership Donors: six new River River Society members and three new Cumberland Society members.
Even more notable, Hendrickson Trailer has put forth a plan to work with United Way GCR on a monthly basis. Each month, they will gather a group of volunteers to assist United Way and/or other partner agencies in volunteer projects around the community. What a great idea to help keep employees vested in the “hands on” work that their own resources have provided! This is what it means to LIVE UNITED!
Hendrickson Trailer also plays such a large role in the success of other United Way events throughout the year. During the campaign kick-off in September (2015), Hendrickson’s Materials Planner and United Way Campaign Coordinator, Kathee Marco, completed the Mission: Possible scavenger hunt in downtown Clarksville to help gather intelligence and learn more about United Way partner programs. During the holidays, Hendrickson employees collected several loads of toys, clothing and other items for local families in need. This was accomplished through their Elf Tree program.
United Way GCR is thrilled to have such an amazing partnership with Hendrickson Trailer Suspension and is so grateful for their help with Mission: Possible. Thank you, Hendrickson Trailer Suspension, for being AGENTS OF CHANGE!
